Exhibit at Framingham State Commemorates 100th Anniversary of U.S. Entry into WWI

Public invited to check out new exhibit on food conservation propaganda used during WWI.

Attention Framingham Foodies and Armchair historians –

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the US entry into World War I, Framingham State University is sponsoring a beautiful and thought-provoking exhibit of food posters from the US Food Administration. Students in Art Professor Erika Schneider’s Museum Studies class expanded on the themes in Nutrition Professor Janet Schwartz’s personal collection of food posters to create a remarkable exhibit of artifacts from WWI.

The food recommendations asked US citizens to not waste food, eat local, plant gardens and eat less sugar to promote the theme, “Food Will Win the War.”
