First Day of School In Framingham During Pandemic: What To Know
Find out how Framingham Public Schools plans to handle everything from attendance to mealtime during the 2020-21 school year.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham students will return to class full-time on Wednesday for the first time since last spring, ushering in a new era of learning designed to protect students and teachers as the coronavirus pandemic continues.
Of course, it's not going to be a normal school year. Unlike most other districts, Framingham will begin the year fully remote. The district won't switch to a hybrid model for all students until early November at the earliest — but only if the district and city health officials determine it's safe.
As of Monday, the virus was still rising in Framingham. The city reported 60 new cases since last week, and the city remained in the high-risk category, according to the state Department of Public Health.
