Former School Committee Member Charles E. Brody, 56, Has Died

Charles E. Brody, 56, of Framingham died suddenly on Thursday, August 8, 2013. 

Born on August 13, 1956 in Brighton, Massachusetts, he was the devoted son of the late Marion (Ryder) Collura. He was raised in Waltham and a 1974 graduate of Waltham High School. Mr. Brody went on to graduate from Johnson & Wales College in Rhode Island as a culinary chef and he worked as a chef for St. Mark’s School in Southborough for over fifteen years.

He was a resident of Framingham and served as a Framingham School Committee member for several years and remained very involved with the Framingham School community.

He loved camping and going to Boy Scouts with his son Zach. He was very proud of his children, their accomplishments and loved spending time with them.

Charles was the loving father of Nicole M. Brody of Stoneham, Danielle L. Brody & her fiancé Jason Prince of Allentown, Pennsylvania & Zachary C. Brody of Framingham. He was the former husband of Michelle N. (Colatosti) Brody of Stoneham and the caring brother of the late Diane Stewart & Robert Collura.

The Funeral Service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. at Natick Common on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior from 4-6 p.m. Interment is private.

Memorial contributions in Charlie’s memory may be made to the Framingham Public Schools, 454 Water St., Framingham, Massachusetts 01701.
