Framingham Asst. Superintendent Accepts Clark University Job

FRAMINGHAM, MA — After nearly a decade with Framingham Public Schools, assistant superintendent Joseph Corazzini is leaving the district to become a vice president at Clark University in Worcester.

Since 2012, Corazzini has served as Framingham's assistant superintendent for equity and diversity, as well as director of community resource development. One of Corazzini's recent notable efforts was getting 100 bikes donated to students so they could ride to school during a bus shortage.

In his new role at Clark, Corazzini will be in charge of "sustaining the university’s active partnerships in Worcester and the Main South neighborhood and will work to improve the quality of life for all who live and work here," according to a news release.

"Joseph has dedicated his career to strengthening communities, advancing educational equity, and building partnerships to bring about positive change," Clark President David Fithian said in a news release. "Joe is the perfect leader to continue to build our distinction as a university deeply engaged in our community."

Corazzini has ties to Worcester. Before Framingham, he worked in the United Way of Central Massachusetts’ Main South Promise Neighborhood program and as an associate director of the Worcester Education Collaborative. He is also a Worcester State University graduate.

Corazzini will begin in the new role at Clark in Nov. 1, according to the university.
