Framingham Bank Robber Sentenced To 54 Months In Prison
Court: Jalonni Tucker aka Jalonni Shabazz robbed both TD Bank and Citizens Bank locations in town in 2016.

BOSTON, MA — A local man was sentenced to five and half years in prison on July 19, 2017, for robbing two banks last year in town, according to the U.S. District Court. Jalonni Tucker also known as Jalonni Shabazz, 36, of Framingham, pleaded guilty earlier this year to robbing the TD Bank in Framingham on June 21, 2016, and the Citizens Bank in Framingham on July 13, 2016. He was sentenced to 54 months in prison, three years supervised released after that, and $4,253 in restitution payments.
During the case, prosecutors alleged that an individual entered a branch of TD Bank and placed a note on the teller’s counter demanding money. The teller handed the robber cash and they exited the bank.
After the robbery, investigators noted that cameras inside the bank as well as other businesses captured images of the robber driving from the scene in Chrysler SUV with “distinctive chrome wheels.” Three weeks later, the second bank was hit and surveillance from that bank also picked up the same vehicle.

Police, according to the court, determined that the vehicle was owned by a person in town who was married to Tucker. His picture also matched surveillance footage, according to investigators. Tucker was arrested at his home two days after the second robbery.
