Framingham Beer Hall Brings Boston Chef On Board
The new Executive Chef comes from Boston with experience from New York City.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Jack's Abby Beer Hall in Framingham is adding a Boston chef to its team. The restaurant announced on Tuesday that Ian Maschal will take over as Executive Chef starting this month. Maschal has experience in several Boston restaurants as well as in New York City.
Following several years at Chef de Cuisine at Eventide Fenway Maschal served in other positions at several restaurants around Boston, notably Menton and Bar Mezzana. In New York City, Maschal worked as a Sous Chef at The Lobster Place restaurant. The restaurant said "Ian Maschal brings his expertise of locally-sourced food and kitchen management to the Beer Hall."
The addition of Maschal comes on the heels of the restaurant's impending revamp. The Beer Hall will be revamping its customer experience, from food program to service training. The exact details of the menu changes haven't been released, but the current menu features typical bar food like wings, alongside some upscale options such as New England charcuterie and mussles.

The restaurant primarily markets its craft lagers, including a local line labeled "Framinghammer" that has flavors like vanilla and s'mores.
The Jack’s Abby Beer Hall & Kitchen in Framingham is located at 100 Clinton Street. It features a 5,000 sq. foot tasting room, restaurant and private event space. With 24 different lagers on tap and brewery-only special releases, the Beer Hall has become a destination for serious beer-drinkers.
