Framingham Brewery Exhibit 'A' Moving West

The brewery will close its Morton Street location in Framingham and move its taproom and brewing operation to Williamsburg, Mass.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Exhibit 'A' Brewing is moving on from its Framingham location but staying in the state.

For nearly a decade, the brewery has operated at 81 Morton St. in Framingham, brewing thousands of barrels of beer and pouring pints for locals and beer enthusiasts in its taproom.

They'll continue doing those activities, but it'll happen about 100 miles west in the Hampshire County community of Williamsburg.

In a statement of the brewery website, the company said some challenges including COVID-19 and licensing issues related to the reopening of the beer garden and planned patio arose. Despite that, officials have fond memories of their time on Morton Street.

"We have loved this space, our neighbors, the community and most importantly the friends we have made during our time here. We are so lucky to have been embraced by the community and fans of Exhibit ‘A’ since we opened our doors," the statement read.

As part of the decision to move both the taproom and brewing operations west, the Morton Street location has closed effective immediately.

The new space, officials said, has them excited.

"The Williamsburg facility boasts incredible New England charm, the details of the craftsmanship in the building setting it apart from any other in the area," the statement read. "Not only does it have indoor and outdoor spaces for both public and private events, it also has a beautifully landscaped patio for a beer garden. It is both quaint and breathtaking at the same time."

The new location also boasts "robust" brewing equipment that should allow the company to continue their present operations while also experimenting with new recipes and even introducing new beverages to the Exhibit 'A' lineup.

The relocation also puts the brewery closer to partners who they source materials from, furthering the company's commitment to support the local supply chain, officials said.

Although no opening date has been set, officials did confirm that there will be no interruption of Exhibit 'A' beers in the marketplace.
