Framingham Cedar Street Residents Will Be Without Water Thursday Night

Road work will force water to be cut off for residents and businesses on Thursday night into Friday morning. Here's what to know.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Residents and businesses in the Cedar Street neighborhood will be without water from Thursday night around 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Friday due to road work, city officials said.

Water will be turned off on Cedar Street from Claflin Street to Waverley Street, and on Waverley Street from Waverley Court to Cedar Street.

Russo Bros. will be working on Cedar Street just before the intersection of Waverley Street performing a hydrant and valve tie-in.

"With several other utilities conducting work and the size of the excavation larger than normal and it being a tight section of Cedar Street, the road will be impassable during that time between Claflin Street and Waverley Street," officials said in a news release.

Waverley Street will be passable at all times, officials said.
