FRAMINGHAM, MA — District 2 City Councilor Pam Richardson will not seek re-election at the end of her term this year. Richardson told the MetroWest Daily News on Monday that she's having a hard time balancing City Council duties and her professional duties. Richardson represents the Saxonville and Nobscot area - District 2 - of the city.

Aside from serving as a city councilor, Richardson was a PTO member, Town Meeting member, School Committee member, state representative, and a gubernatorial appointee to the Mass Bay Community College Board of Trustees. She works professionally in the corporate legal department of a therapeutic company in Cambridge.

Richardson is the second city councilor to bow out of re-election. At-large City Councilor Cheryl Tully Stoll announced in March she would not seek re-election.
