Framingham Coronavirus Fatalities Hit 60

Even with four new deaths, Framingham saw a lower number of new cases on Tuesday.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — With the addition of four new deaths, the total number of people from Framingham who have died of coronavirus reached 60 on Tuesday, according to city officials.

The total number of cases reached 1,294, a rise of 12 from Monday — that's the lowest daily increase since April 20, when Framingham added six new cases.

Framingham officials reported that 25 more people have recovered from the virus, leaving 808 active cases in the city. That's down from the 825 active cases reported on Monday.

Statewide, the case count rose to 79,332, an increase of 870 from Monday. Thirty-three more people died of complications from coronavirus, bringing the commonwealth's total deaths to 5,141.
