Framingham Coronavirus Update: 5 New Cases Takes Total To 177
Framingham city officials continue with rising number of confirmed cases. Area health officials expect the caseload to peak around April 19.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Five more Framingham residents have tested positive for coronavirus, the city announced on Thursday, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 177. The city remains at five announced deaths while 21 people have recovered from the virus, the city announced, making the number of active cases the city is dealing with at the current time to 151.
Following the guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Framingham Department of Health is not sharing any additional information about those who have tested positive due to privacy laws. Health officials contact the people who were potentially exposed and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps.
