Framingham Farm Offering Groundhog Day Special
Punxsutawney Phil will emerge this week to see how long winter will last. Hanson's Farm is celebrating the annual event.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — You might be looking forward to spring after the weekend blizzard. Punxsutawney Phil will be, too.
Groundhog Day 2022 is on Wednesday, and to help celebrate the (possible) early spring, Hanson's Farm in Framingham is offering a holiday special.
“The number one thing on our minds here at the farm is wondering when spring will arrive,” owner Tom Hanson said. “Legend tells us that if the groundhog does not see its shadow, there will be an early spring.”

On Wednesday morning, Punxsutawney Phil will emerge from his burrow. If it's a sunny day and Phil sees his shadow, that means six more weeks of winter. A cloudy day and no shadow means an early spring.
