FRAMINGHAM, MA — Your summer diet in Framingham will get a little more local starting this week.
The Framingham Farmers Market returns on Thursday with big news for SNAP participants in 2023.
Market officials announced that the market has qualified for SNAP EBT, meaning SNAP participants can use their benefits at the market. SNAP will be exchanged for wooden coins at the market, which can then be used at market vendors.

Officials noted that, starting in July, the market will also add the state's Senior Citizen Farmers Market Coupons.
To date, the market has 72 confirmed vendors, four farms and nine bakeries.

The market is held on Thursday afternoons from 3 to 7 p.m. through Sept. 28 at the Village Hall parking lot and Framingham Centre Common on Edgell Road.
Visitor parking is available behind and alongside First Parish Church on Vernon Street and in the large parking lot behind North East Community Bank on Edgell Road.
