Framingham Firefighters Finish Orientation, Join Departments

Six candidates successfully completed their recruit orientation last week and received their assignments which they will start this week.

The six new firefighters are Martin "Jack" Garvey, Michael Smith, Alec Guertin, Training Division Deputy Chief Kevin Ryan Sullivan, Ian Commerford, Tyler Demmons and James Corcoran.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Six Framingham Fire Department recruits are set to join local departments this week.

All six candidates successfully completed their recruit orientation last week and received their assignments which they will start this week, department officials said.

They are now considered firefighters on probation, a period that lasts for a full year.
