Framingham Launching Veteran's Resource Centers
The centers, which will be available at both libraries, will provide resources such as books and materials pertinent to veterans.
FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Christa McAuliffe Branch Library will unveil the new Veteran's Resource Centers during an even Saturday, May 20 (Armed Forces Day.) The event will be between 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The free event will feature speaker Larry Kirby, a WWII veteran and author of Stories from the Pacific, as well as activities for children and young adults, free food and entertainment, a visit from a Combat K9 and her handler, and talks and resources on accessing Veteran’s benefits.
The centers, which will be available at both libraries, will provide resources such as books and materials pertinent to veterans, a computer linked to veteran-related websites like the VA and eBenefits, federal benefit books, job search resources, and information about local and national veteran-related upcoming events.
