Framingham Man Arrested On Child Sexual Assault, Luring Charges

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Framingham man who was a teacher at Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Malden was arrested in connection with a child sexual assault in Colorado.

David Reid, 36, was arrested Oct. 16 on charges of sexual assault on a child and internet luring of a child, according to Colorado Springs Police. Michael Garcia, 26, of Westminster, CO was arrested on the same charges.

Colorado television station KDVR reports Reid and Garcia are accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in Colorado Springs on multiple occasions after meeting with her online.

A warrant was issued for Reid's arrest out of Colorado Springs, and he was arrested in coordination with Framingham Police, according to KDVR.

KDVR reported Reid was a teacher at Mystic Valley Regional Charter School at the time of his arrest, citing police.
