Framingham Man Faces Manslaughter Charge After Fight Turns Deadly: Report

The man has been indicted in connection with a brawl that took place in November.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A 39-year-old man from Framingham faces charges including manslaughter after getting into a brawl that turned deadly.

Craig West Jr. was indicted last week by a Middlesex County jury on the manslaughter count as well as assault and battery on a person older than 60, causing serious bodily injury, the MetroWest Daily News reported.

Prosecutors say West had a physical altercation Nov. 15 with Oezel Sari, 64, on Concord Street. Sari was brought to Tufts Medical Center in Boston but later died from his injuries.

West was being held on $10,000 bail and is due to be arraigned April 2. If convicted, he could face a 20-year prison sentence for the manslaughter charge.
