Two $1M Lotto Winners In Framingham, Including Man's Second Prize

In June, Framingham's Stephen Toto won his second $1 million prize in four years. Another resident won after buying a ticket in Middleton.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — It's been a pretty lucky few years for Framingham resident Stephen Toto.

In June, Toto won a $1 million prize after buying a scratch ticket at a local gas station — but he almost didn't win.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Toto went to the A-1 Gulf station intending to buy a $30 scratch ticket. But he changed his mind "at the last minute" and decided to buy a different ticket, lottery officials said.

Toto previously won $1 million in 2017 on a "$4,000,000 Payout" game.

A-1 Gulf, 483 Concord St., will receive a $10,000 bonus from the state lottery for selling the winning scratcher. Toto chose to take his new $1 million prize as a pre-tax lump sum of $650,000.

Toto's was actually the second $1 million winner from Framingham recently. In June, lottery officials announced that Elcio Lima Correia won the seven-figure prize on a "Massachusetts Millionaires’ Club" scratch ticket. He purchased the scratcher at Fast Freddie’s Mobil in Middleton.
