Framingham Mom To Use Lottery Winnings To Pay Off Son's Student Loans

Tipwan Sahasankmontri has two big plans for her winnings, and both help her family greatly.

Tipwan Sahasankmontri of Framingham, however, has more logical plans for her recent win.

Sahasankmontri won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant ticket game recently, choosing the cash option which will net her $650,000 before taxes.

According to lottery officials, Sahasankontri said she planned to use the money to buy a home and pay off her son's student loans.

She purchased her winning ticket at Riverside Gulf, 1530 Concord St., in Framingham. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale of the ticket.
