Framingham Municipal Employees Raising Money For United Way Food Pantry
Framingham municipal employees have set a goal of raising $10,000 this holiday season to support United Way's Pearl Street Cupboard and Cafe

Last year, Town of Framingham employees raised more than $5,000 to help support food security and nutrition for struggling families in the MetroWest region.
The United Way’s Pearl Street Cupboard and Café plays a key role in support of families throughout Metrowest.

Opening it’s doors in 2012, the Pearl Street Cupboard & Café provides Framingham families in need with groceries once per month. Each family is given groceries based on their family size, including non-perishable pantry items as well as fresh produce, dairy, eggs, bread, and frozen meat.
In an average month the Pearl Street Food Pantry provides groceries for 683 families consisting of 1,044 adults, 646 children, and 209 seniors, totaling 1,899 individuals.

The Pearl Street Café is open two nights each week for dinner and serves an average of 200 people each night with a monthly average of 1,800 meals.
In 15 days, $2,285 has been raised.
