Framingham Murder Suspect Died In California: DA
Eugene Sutton, Jr. was wanted in connection to the October murder of Eric Hargett, 34.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A man wanted in connection to a 2021 Framingham homicide has died, Framingham police Chief Lester Baker and Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan said Friday.
Eugene Sutton Jr., 52, was wanted in the Oct. 20 killing of Eric Hargett, 34. Sutton died on Jan. 31 in West Anaheim, Calif., Framingham police said Friday.
Sutton's brother, Aaron Sutton, 49, was arrested and charged in Hargett's killing in November.

According to authorities, Hargett and the Sutton brothers went to a Hayes Street rooming house together early in the morning on Oct. 30. Once inside, authorities say the Sutton brothers robbed Hargett, stabbed him and shot him in the head.
After the killing, Eugene Sutton went to a home in Ashland. Police later searched that home and found the gun likely used to shoot Hargett.

Aaron Sutton has been charged with murder, armed robbery, armed assault to murder and possession of a firearm.
