Framingham Names New Citizens Participation Officer
If her appointment is ratified, Heather Gutierrez will begin work for Framingham on Jan. 30.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Mayor Charlie Sisitsky is appointing Ashland resident Heather Gutierrez as the city’s next Citizens Participation Officer.
Gutierrez, a former Framingham resident, will be leaving her job at the Department of Revenue Division of Local Services, officials said. She also formally worked for the City of Marlborough in the City Solicitor’s Office.
While in the private sector, Gutierrez worked for a firm that specialized in multiple facets of immigration services and family probate matters.

“Her education and work experience bring a uniqueness that fits well with this position,” said Mayor Sisitsky. “I very much look forward to working with her to engage our citizens and work with all of our city’s boards and commissions.”
In accordance with the Framingham City Charter, Gutierrez’s appointment must be ratified by the City Council at the council’s meeting on Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.

Councilors will vote on a recommendation from the Appointments Subcommittee. The subcommittee will discuss the matter at a public meeting taking place 30 minutes earlier.
If her appointment is ratified, Gutierrez will begin work for Framingham on Jan. 30.
