Framingham North High Class of '86 Raising Money in Memory of John McLellan

In October, Framingham North High Class of 1986 lost one of its alumni - John McLellan.

Now, the class of 1986 wants to raise $5,000 to donate band equipment to Framingham High.

Originally, Julie Dennehy started a GoFundMe site hoping to raise $3,000, but in a week’s time, the fund exceeded its goal. In just 7 days, 48 individuals raises $3,578, as of midnight, Nov. 7. Now, the goal is $5,000.

“John will be missed,” said Dennehy. ”He was our ‘little drummer boy’.”

The money will be used to “buy the band program something shiny and new, sorely needed as a holiday gift.”
