Framingham Police Chase, Capture Natick Man with Loaded Gun

"A dangerous individual was captured and one more firearm has been removed from the street," said Framingham Police Lt. Stephen Cronin.

Framingham Police responded to a report of a man with a gun at the Dreamteam Barbershop on Union Avenue in Framingham Tuesday afternoon.

When Framingham Police Officer Officer Jay Godino, arrived at the scene, he saw a man matching the description running from the front door of the location holding his waistband, said Framingham Police Lt. Stephen Cronin.

“ When ordered to stop, the suspect ran into traffic causing cars to brake hard and continued across the rotary and into the arcade building where he run out the rear into the parking lot still pursued by the officer,” said Lt. Cronin.

Officer Godino, with the assistance of several other Framingham Police, apprehended the man, said Cronin. The incident was first report at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19.

Arrested was Scott Dolan, 24, of 2 Westhill Park of Natick.

He was carrying a “loaded handgun, as well as a double-bladed knife,” said Lt. Cronin.

Dolan was ”identified as the suspect having assaulted several persons within the barbershop with a gun,” said Lt. Cronin.

Upon further investigation, Police discovered Dolan was alleged involved in “violent incidences at the barber shop the previous day” too.

He is being charged with numerous serious felonies, said Lt. Cronin.

He was held on $50,000 bail.
