Framingham Police Host 'Shop With A Cop' Event
The annual event connects MetroWest police departments with local kids for a day of holiday shopping.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — MetroWest police departments will join forces this holiday season for the seventh annual "Shop With A Cop" event in Framingham.
The premise is simple enough: local police officers will team up with area children to help them receive all the gifts they need this holiday season.
The impact is much greater.

"A predetermined amount will be provided for each child thanks to our program sponsors. After the shopping is done, the pair will be given a meal from Chick-Fil-A," officials said.
Applications for the program are due by Dec. 12, when departments will select children based on a family's financial needs, according to a program description.
Children must live in the MetroWest region and be between the ages of 5 and 16, and between kindergarten and 12th grade.
