FRAMINGHAM, MA — Black History Month is a time for all of us in America and right here in our community to recognize, acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments, and sacrifices – past and present - of Black men and women for the betterment of our society. People from all backgrounds can discover something new about the achievements of Black Americans, many of which are absent from our traditional textbooks. Let’s celebrate Black History Month and let it serve as a catalyst to enhance our knowledge of the roles that Blacks in the United States have played in science, politics, arts, education, law, literature, business, civil rights, religion, sports, film, and space, not just for one month but year-round.
