Framingham Reports 21 New Coronavirus Cases, 1 Death
Wednesday's coronavirus report continues to show a steady pace of new cases.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham continues to steadily add new coronavirus cases, with 21 new infections reported on Wednesday.
With the 21 new cases, Framingham has 179 total active cases, an improvement from the 191 active cases reported on Monday. Framingham also reported a new COVID-19 death on Wednesday, bringing the citywide total to 142.
Wednesday is also the day the state Department of Public Health releases its weekly report on individual communities. It's likely Framingham will remain a high-risk community.

As of Monday, the city was adding 14.64 new cases per day over the past 14 days, per 100,000. That number would have to be down below 8 per day on average to qualify Framingham to be removed from the high-risk list.
