Framingham Reports 30 New Coronavirus Cases, Weekend Outreach

Eighty-seven Framingham residents have tested positive since last Friday.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham reported 30 new cases on Friday, bringing the total new cases added since last Friday to 87.

With the 30 new cases reported Friday, Framingham has had 2,367 cases over the course of the pandemic with 153 active cases today. The city did not report any new deaths, and the toll stood at 137.

The drive-up testing site at Walsh Middle School was closed on Thursday and Friday due to storm damage from Wednesday night. The Walsh test site will reopen Saturday morning at 9 a.m., officials said.

Because Framingham is still a high-risk community, state workers will be in the city over the weekend speaking to residents about health and safety precautions. Here's the coronavirus outreach schedule for Saturday and Sunday:

1:30 to 4 p.m. — Cushing Memorial Park flyer/literature distribution
1:30 to 4 p.m. — Waverly Street flyer/literature distribution

10 a.m. to noon — St. Tarcisius Parish handing out flyers, sanitizer
