Framingham Reports 4 Coronavirus Deaths, 45 New Cases
Framingham has added over 100 new coronavirus cases over the past week.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham reported four COVID-19 deaths Friday, the highest number of fatalities in a single reporting period in months. Framingham has now recorded 150 deaths since the pandemic began.
Accompanying the deaths, city officials reported 45 new cases detected since Friday, bringing the total since Oct. 30 to 106. There are now also 230 active cases citywide, officials said.
Framingham has been on the state's list of high-risk communities since August, but Gov. Charlie Baker on Friday unveiled a new system for evaluating risk in individual towns and cities. It's unclear if Framingham will still be categorized as high-risk following that change.
