July 5, 2022 (Framingham)- Framingham resident Rebecca Crawford was named a recipient of the 2022 Commonwealth Heroines of Massachusetts award. Crawford, nominated by Representative Jack Patrick Lewis (Framingham) was awarded at a reception on Wednesday June 22.

“It was an honor to be recognized among the incredible women who were chosen to be MCSW Heroines of the Commonwealth,'' said Rebecca Crawford. “There is so much power in the quiet (and sometimes not so quiet!) ways in which we all impact our communities. Massachusetts is stronger thanks to the work of the women in that room, and I can't wait to see what we all do next!"

“If I could choose one person to be a part of every decision-making process, no matter the topic, it would be Rebecca Crawford,” noted Rep Jack Patrick Lewis (Framingham). “Through her work as the Director of Advancement at Summit Montessori School, the Director of Religious Exploration at First Parish in Framingham, and leading both Cub Scout and Girl Scout troops, Rebecca works to ensure that her community continues to thrive even in the trying times of COVID-19.”
