Framingham roots band "Always in Season" at the UnCommon Coffeehouse November 7
Always in Season is excited to open for the unique Boston-based bluegrass fusion group Cold Chocolate on November 7.

Always in Season emerged from the greater Boston bluegrass scene as a five-piece acoustic band, drawing also from folk, blues, and Celtic roots. A not entirely traditional string band, Always in Season brings together a unique blend of instruments: mandolin (Mark Zudeck). banjo (Rich Delvecchio), guitar (Simone Poliandri), upright bass (Gwendolyn Holbrow), and most unusually for roots music, harp (Lois Francello).
Jamming and busking around Boston and Metrowest, Always in Season has built a crowd-pleasing repertoire, honed their chops and polished their close harmonies. Over the past summer they were invited to serve as “house band” for the weekly Framingham farmer’s market. Always in Season brings audiences a contemporary take on American roots music, from toe-tapping bluegrass standards to lilting waltzes to heart-breaking songs of love gone wrong, flavored with high spirits, driving rhythm, and a generous dollop of moonshine.
Cold Chocolate is a hot bluegrass fusion band well known to bluegrass fans around New England, and Always in Season is excited to open for them at Framingham’s UnCommon Coffeehouse on November 7.
