Framingham Schools Name New Director Of Health And Wellness
Shavonne Lord comes to Framingham from Lawrence Public Schools, where she serves as an assistant principal.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Shavonne Lord is the new director of health and wellness for Framingham Public Schools, the district announced.
Lord is currently an assistant principal in Lawrence Public Schools where she’s trained and worked for the last 13 years.
In her current role, she created the vision for and supported the development of mental health support systems, social-emotional learning programming and multi-tiered support systems across the building, officials said.

Her role includes managing and supervising the mental health team, the school discipline team and student support team. She has worked to provide mental health support, consultation, and training for staff over the last 10 years.
Prior to her role as the assistant principal, she practiced as a school psychologist in Lawrence Public Schools, performing all psycho-educational evaluations, providing individual and group counseling, consultation for staff and families, support for MTSS and crisis intervention.

"I am thrilled and grateful to be joining the team at Framingham Public Schools and the Department of Health and Wellness," said Lord.
"It is a privilege to be joining a community that values and emphasizes inclusivity for all of its members and health and wellness practices for all. I am excited to begin getting to know and partnering with all district staff, students and families in order to best support and enhance the mental health and wellbeing of our student community."
Lord officially began her role on July 1.
