Framingham Schools Name New Hemenway Principal

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham Public Schools is pleased to announce that Dr. Marguerite Simpson-Lackard has been selected as the permanent Principal of Hemenway Elementary School, effective July 1, 2024.

Dr. Simpson-Lackard began her career at Framingham Public Schools in 1999 as a Mathematics Teacher. Since then, she has served as a Mathematics Teacher, a Mathematics Department Head, a Vice Principal, and an Interim Principal at Hemenway Elementary School. Her educational experience has spanned both elementary and middle school levels. Prior to her work in education, Dr. Simpson-Lackard was a Pediatric Physician at the Boston Medical Center.

“Dr. Simpson-Lackard has been a stable presence at Hemenway Elementary School since I appointed her as Interim Principal last summer,” offered Dr. Tremblay, Superintendent of Framingham Public Schools. “I know that she is eager to connect personally with staff and caregivers in the Hemenway community as she plans for the coming school year and beyond. Her love for Framingham, as a resident of the Nobscot Neighborhood and as long-time educator and leader in the Framingham Public Schools, will be immediately evident!”
