Framingham Sees 3 New Coronavirus Deaths
The Framingham Health Department has begun reporting new demographic data about coronavirus cases and deaths.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham health officials reported three new coronavirus deaths and 58 new positive cases on Saturday night. That brings the city's coronavirus death toll to 14, and the overall number of cases to 632 so far during the outbreak.
The Framingham Health Department also released a raft of new demographic data on coronavirus cases and deaths on Saturday:
- Eight of the 14 coronavirus deaths have been men
- 57 percent of coronavirus deaths are in white residents — although race is not known in 29 percent of deaths
- All coronavirus deaths have been people over age 40, but 11 of the deaths have been in people over age 70
- Four nursing homes in Framingham have seen outbreaks: Carlyle House 10 to 30 cases; Casa de Ramana, more than 30 cases; Oak Knoll less than 10 cases; St. Patrick's Manor, more than 30 cases.
Subtracting deaths and 101 people who have recovered, Framingham had 517 active coronavirus cases as of Saturday evening.

Statewide, coronavirus cases grew by 2,379 on Saturday to a total of 53,348. Another 174 people died of the virus over last 24 hours, bringing the state's total death toll to 2,730.
