Framingham Selectmen To Offer Town Manager a New 3-Year Contract

Framingham Board of Selectmen posted notification Thursday, as required by the town’s bylaws, it plans to vote to award Framingham Town Manager a new three-year contract through June 2018, at its next meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

“Pursuant to this bylaw, the Board of Selectmen hereby provides notice that the current appointment of Town Manager Robert Halpin expires on June 3, 2015 and the Board of Selectmen intends to consider and vote on the reappointment of Town Manager Halpin and a successor contract for a term of June 4, 2015-June 3, 2018.”

Halpin was hired in April 2012 and started in June 2012.

Last year, Selectmen gave him an “exceptional” review, and awarded him a 2 percent raise and one additional week of vacation.
