Framingham Selectmen Proclaim November 1 Extra Mile Day
Extra Mile America is a nonprofit organization that empowers individuals, organizations, and cities to "go the extra mile."

Framingham’s Board of Selectmen proclaimed today, November 1, to be Extra Mile Day in Framingham.
Selectmen are participating in the nation-wide campaign and encouraging ”each individual in the community to take time on this day to ‘go the extra mile’ in their own life and to acknowledge all those around who are inspirational in their efforts to make their organizations, families, community, country, and world a better place.”

The Extra Mile Day started in 2009, and had grown to 444 cities representing all 50 states, by 2013.
