Framingham Sets Date For 2nd Annual Flag Day Parade
The parade was brought back by popular demand last year.
FRAMINGHAM, MA- Get your flags ready because the 2nd Annual Flag Day Parade has an official date: June 9 at 2 p.m.
The parade was brought back by popular demand last year to honor the men and women serving in the armed forces and the city's veterans. Last year's parade started at St Stephen's Church and ended at Bowditch Field. No word on if this year's parade will follow the same route.
Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. Flag Day was officially established by President Woodrow Wilson on May 30, 1916.
