Framingham Traffic: 9 Streets Under Construction

Know the routes that will be affected to plan your commute.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — There's nothing worse than getting stuck in summer traffic in a hot car. Several roads in the city will be under construction this week, and to help you have a smooth commute, we have a list of the roads and detours.

Happy travels, hopefully this helps get to the beach a bit faster:

  • Beaver Street: Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern. Expect minor delays.
  • Edgell Road: Southbound traffic will be detoured at Water St.
  • Fountain Street: Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern during the day time hours. Police detail officers will be on site.
  • Freeman Street: Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern during the daytime hours. The street will remain open to emergency vehicles at all times. Police detail officers will be on site to facilitate traffic.
  • North Concord Street: Northbound traffic will be detoured via A Street.
  • Parker Road: One-lane alternating traffic pattern.
  • Salem End Road: (bridge work) One-lane alternating traffic pattern.
  • Summer Street: Detours will be in effect from Tuesday evening through Friday evening during milling operations.
  • Union Avenue: Northbound travel only on Union Avenue between Beech Street and Linden Street. Southbound traffic will be detoured to Franklin Street. Southbound trucks will need to access Franklin Street via Main Street. Police detail officers will be on site.
