Framingham Water Main Flushing Starts Next Week
Water main flushing is intended to improve drinking water quality throughout Framingham. The project is set to last six weeks.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The City of Framingham Water Department will begin conducting water main flushing, starting Monday, May 15.
The flushing will continue in designated areas for 6 weeks.

Water main flushing will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in residential areas and from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. in business and commercial areas.
The purpose of the program is to improve drinking water quality for all.

The flushing process may cause discolored water and a reduction in pressure The discoloration of the water will be temporary and is not harmful.
If the condition exists for longer than 24 hours, please contact the water department at 508- 532-6050.
The flushing will begin in Zone 1, and then move through each of the zones in this map.
