Framingham Woman, 64, Dies From Injuries From Single-Car Crash on Route 9
Framingham Police said the Framingham woman died at Mass General Hospital in Boston Tuesday night

Framingham Police said Donna Sandler, 64 , of Framingham, died at Mass General Hospital in Boston Tuesday night, following a car crash Tuesday afternoon.
Sandler was driving on Route 9 in Framingham and struck at pole at 225 Worcester Road (Route 9) at 1:11 p.m.
She was transported to the Boston hospital, via a medical helicopter.

“Her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening yesterday,” said Framingham Police Lt. Stephen Cronin. ”But Framingham Police was notified by the hospital she died last night.”
The Commonwealth’s medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Lt., Cronin said a witness, a physician, was driving behind Sandler in her Nissan, and said she was driving fine, and then suddenly veered off the road and struck a pole.
The doctor treated Sandler until EMT’s arrived.
Lt. Cronin said the cause of the crash is unknown. He said not until an autopsy is completed, could it be determined if she suffered a medical emergency. Framingham Police and the Middlesex district attorney’s office are investigating.
