RECYCLING at The Festival On the Common:

  • Mercury Materials: Everyone always wants to know how to safely dispose of old Compact Florescent Light Bulbs (CFLs). And what about mercury filled thermometers, thermostats and spent rechargeable batteries? Bring them on down to the festival where our beloved Framingham Department Of Public Works. will be collecting at their booth.
  • Electronics: How about that old TV that you’ve been trying to sell on Craig’s list, or that computer sitting in your basement from 1999. Time to clean out space and have those products responsibly recycled! Bring anything with a power cord! Sponsored by Conigliaro Industries, you can drop your items off at their truck in the Plymouth Church Parking lot (for FREE!)
  • Bicycles: Not Bombs will be on the Commons at the Earthday event and will take your old bicycle!! They request a $10/bike donation to help cover costs of refurbishment. https://bikesnotbombs.org
  • Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids: Make the gift of you old eyeglasses for someone else in need. Easy to bring with you and just drop off at their booth. Sponsored by the Framingham Lions Club. Framingham Lions Recycle for Sight!
  • Cell phones, printer cartridges, pens (any kind), batteries and tennis balls: Framingham Interfaith Clergy Association will have a booth at Framingham Earth Day with collection boxes to recycle the above listed items!
