2 Injured In 'Very Serious' Framingham Crash

Two people are in critical but stable condition after a single-car crash on Edgell Road in Framingham on Wednesday night.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A car crash shut down Edgell Road in Framingham on Wednesday and sent two people to area hospitals, police said.

The single-car crash initially shut down Edgell Road between Central Street and Frost Street around 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The road has since been reopened.

Police said the vehicle crashed into a telephone pole around 7:30 p.m. A man was taken by medical helicopter to a Boston-area hospital while a woman was taken by ambulance to another area hospital.

City officials described the scene as "very serious."

The accident remains under investigation as of 9:30 a.m., police said.
