Free Flu Shot Clinic Coming To Framingham
The October clinic is open to Framingham residents over 6 months old.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — The city of Framingham will host a free flu shot clinic in October. The event is open to all city residents over 6 months old.
Flu season does not have an official start day, but the deadly virus typically peaks in the winter months from December to March. Millions are sickened and tens of thousands die each flu season, according to the Centers for Disease control.
During the 2018-19 flu season, Massachusetts had the highest child flu vaccination rate of any state, and the second-highest for adults, according to the CDC. Medical experts recommend everyone get vaccinated as soon as possible — immunity benefits typically kick two weeks after getting the shot.

The Framingham clinic runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the McCarthy School, 8 Flagg Drive. Bring your health insurance card if you have one, but one is not needed to get vaccinated.
