Free Framingham Flu Clinic Coming Up
Framingham's flu clinic at the McCarthy School is free for residents over 6 months old.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Flu season has no official start date, which means it's best to get your flu shot as soon as possible.
To help local residents stay flu-free this winter, the city of Framingham is hosting a free flu-shot clinic on Oct. 26 at the McCarthy School. Shots are free for anyone over the age of 6 months, and you don't need to have health insurance (but bring your card if you do have health insurance — it may help the city get reimbursed).
Influenza typically begins to ramp up in late fall and early winter, peaking by January and February — although flu activity can start earlier and last well into spring, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
