Funeral for Framingham High History Teacher Wednesday

Michael J. Hayden, 43, died on Sept. 11, 2013.

A Framingham High North School graduate, Hayden had been working at Framingham High School as a long-term history substitute.

The former U.S. Marine Reservist attended UMass and received a Masters from Boston University. He was an Eagle Scout from Troop 1 in Cochituate. 

Formerly of Framingham and Northborough, he had been living in Natick. He was the father Thomas C., William A. and Catherine E. Hayden.

He was the son of Charles W. and Mary (Hyde) Hayden of Framingham.

Hayden worked in the funeral industry for a number of years, before becoming a high school history teacher.

Visiting hours are 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 17 at Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, Route 16 in West Newton.

Funeral Mass will be at St. Bernard's Church in West Newton at 10 a.m.
