Furniture Store Yardbird To Open Framingham Location

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Another expanding national chain has identified Framingham as its way into the Boston market, this time coming in the form of an outdoor furniture store.

Yardbird, the Best Buy-owned furniture brand, will open a new location sometime this month on Route 9, according to multiple reports.

In addition to Framingham, Yardbird will open locations in Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Long Island, Milwaukee, Raleigh, San Antonio, San Francisco, Tampa and West Palm Beach. There are 14 stores currently open, according to Furniture Today.

According to the Boston Business Journal, company officials determined Framingham for the Boston-area location based off information gained from polling local customers.

"It became pretty clear, fairly quickly, that was the best first place for us to put a store," Yardbird co-founder Jay Dillon said, according to reports.
