Gasoline Prices in Framingham Dip Below $3 A Gallon
This is the lowest gas prices have been in Massachusetts since February of 2011, according to AAA Southern New England.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down nine cents from last week, according to AAA Southern New England, which has an office in Framingham off Route 9.
AAA’s Oct. 20 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.17 per gallon, down nine cents from last week.
Prices locally are 22 cents lower than a month ago.

The current price in Massachusetts is seven cents more than the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.10.
A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was 21 cents higher at $3.38.

Prices locally haven’t been this low since February of 2011.
Prime Energy, in Framingham on Route 135, was advertising $2.91 a gallon on Tuesday.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 54 cents, from a low of $2.89 to a high of $3.43.
“With crude oil prices at a two-year low, plentiful supply, and relatively low demand, we’re seeing dramatic price drops at the pump - good news for motorists,” said Mary Maguire, AAA Southern New England Director of Public and Legislative Affairs, in a press release.
AAA Fuel Saving Tip of the Week: Spark plugs must be in good condition. Some will last for 100,000 miles, but may need to be replaced more often.
