Gulf Fuels Breast Cancer Research with New Pink Ribbon Gift Card

Gulf Oil LP unveiled a Pink Ribbon Gift Card, a new initiative for the Gulf Oil Giving Foundation that will generate up to $25,000 dollars a year in increased assistance for the fight against breast cancer.

For every Pink Ribbon Gift Card purchased valued at $50 or more, Gulf will make a $1 donation to the Gulf Oil Giving Foundation to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program.

“From day one, the Gulf Oil Giving Foundation has been dedicated to contributing much-needed funds for breast cancer research and awareness programs,” said Rick Dery, Senior Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Gulf in a press release. “We are passionately doing our part to help eradicate this disease once and for all. We are pleased to be able to offer our customers the Pink Ribbon Gift Card so they can join with us in winning this important battle.”

This gift card campaign furthers Gulf’s commitment to ending breast cancer and complements the company’s other initiatives in support of Making Strides events across its service area. Gulf recently raised over $100,000 for Making Strides during Gulf’s inaugural “Swing for Hope” charity golf event.

The Pink Ribbon Gift Card is a great gift for any occasion – birthdays, holidays or as a ‘thank you’ to friends and colleagues – and gives consumers the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of millions of people and their loved ones affected by breast cancer.

The pre-paid card, available in denominations from $5 to $250, can be used at Gulf-branded locations across the company’s 28 state service area to purchase gas, car services, and even snacks. Pink Ribbon Gift Cards are available for purchase at thousands of local Gulf stations across the country.
