Health Insurance Party In Framingham To Promote Coverage Options

If you have questions about health insurance in Massachusetts, come to this event in Framingham, which will feature live entertainment.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Sure, health insurance can be a little boring. But add some Brazilian dance music, and maybe you can have a little fun sorting through deductibles, coinsurance, and premiums.

The Massachusetts Health Connector will be hosting a "Day of Coverage" event at Framingham City Hall on Wednesday. The event will feature a live band playing Batucada, a style of Brazilian samba.

During the Framingham event, Health Connector representatives will be on hand to discuss coverage options for anyone who's interested.

The Massachusetts Health Connector open enrollment period is on now and runs through Jan. 23 — but, residents who want health coverage to begin by Jan. 1 need to enroll by Dec. 23. The Affordable Care Act (also called Obamacare) open enrollment period ended on Sunday, but Massachusetts operates on a separate schedule.

The "Day of Coverage" event featuring the Batucada band will run noon to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 at City Hall, 150 Concord St. Health Connector reps will also be visiting businesses in the downtown area.
