History, Humor Infused Into Mass Ballet's Version of The Nutcracker

There are five shows this weekend, including one tonight, Dec. 12.

Mass Ballet has infused humor and a little history into its version of The Nutcracker.

In Act 1, along with the traditional party scene Mass Ballet’s artistic director Meghan Powers has put a twist on the battle scene. In that battle, attendees will watch Mad Queen George and Paula Revere Cat , along with the Patriot Soliders, Kitties of Liberty, and the Red Mouse Coats.

Act II features the Land of Sweets with lots of classic ballet.
